Punaise · Spatial window switcher
Position is
the shortcut.
Your active windows are already waiting in fixed slots. Add files, links, and notes, then arrange the map you remember — never a list rebuilt by an algorithm.
Your spatial map
A board you remember, not a list you rescan.
Mission Control and ⌘Tab rearrange themselves every time. Punaise keeps each address fixed, so your hand goes where your memory already expects it to be.
Windows and everything around them
Put the whole project in one place.
Active windows fill free addresses without moving existing pins. Add a Finder file beside its browser, drag a card to move it, or drop it on another occupied slot to swap both positions.
Inspect, then move
See enough before you commit.
Hover selects without noise. Space opens a large preview in the centre. Swipe for more fixed pages, with direct tracking and a calm macOS-style settle.
Private by construction
Your board stays on your Mac.
Punaise stores references and positions, not the contents of your windows. There is no cloud board, no account required to use the app, and no permanent capture stream.
- Works offline
Your spatial map remains available without a connection. Nothing has to sync.
- Still images, never a stream
Window thumbnails are refreshed as stills when the board opens. Screen Recording is optional; without it, every pin still works with its app icon and title.
- Only references persist
Punaise saves the window or file reference and its fixed slot. It never stores the captured contents of a window.
- No account in the app
Your punaise.app account is only for purchase, licence delivery, and download — not for using your board.
